Shut Up & Vote!

IPS B.S. is going to bed so we can get up early and vote tomorrow before school. If you don't vote, you can't complain about our work conditions.

I'm old enough to remember election days when the 'good old boys' would take a big car or van through a poor neighborhood and load up the voters and drive them to the polls. Then the 'good old boys' would treat the voters to a 'nip of whiskey' or a 'bit of pocket change' for their votes. Do ya think this still occurs in Center Township?

Oh, but they will, because that is what a lot of people like to do on here!

I find the first comment racist............why must idiots perpetuate that stereotype.

They think they're funny and clever. Like they're in a private conversation with other old-school racists who will find that kind of thing humorous. Fortunately, that generation will die off soon.

Here we are, once again, making IPS educators look like a classy bunch.

Well, it's Annie Roof and Samantha Adair-White. That's good. Now we just need to wait for the next school board election and get a couple more good ones in there!!

Start finding someone to run against Mary Busch. She is nothing but a puppet of Eugene White. Yesterday the voters spoke loud and clear. Eugene White will now be asked some hard questions and answers will be expected. His handpicked candidates all lost yesterday.

Maybe now Samantha will file her Statement of Organization and her Campaign Finance Report with the Marion County Election Board as required by law.

    Chapter 3: Candidate’s Committee
Definition of a Candidate: An individual may become a candidate for other election law purposes by acting to qualify under Indiana law for listing on the ballot at an election or to become a write-in candidate by publicly announcing or declaring candidacy for an elected office; or otherwise by seeking nomination for an election to an elected office. These announcements do not automatically make the individual a candidate for purposes of the Indiana Campaign Finance Act. (IC 3-9)
For campaign finance purposes, an individual becomes a “candidate” when the individual, the candidate’s committee, or a person acting with the consent of the individual:
    1. receives more than $100 in contributions; or
    2. makes more than $100 in expenditures. (IC 3-5-2-6)
Each candidate, when filing a declaration of candidacy or similar document, is required to separately sign a statement indicating that the candidate is aware of requirements of the Act and agrees to comply with them. (IC 3-8-2-7)
Candidate’s Committee: A candidate’s committee is designated by a candidate to accept contributions and make expenditures for the purpose of promoting the candidate for election. A candidate who has not decided whether to become a candidate for a specific office may organize an “exploratory committee.” (IC 3-5-2-7) This candidate must file an amended statement of organization when the individual decides to become a candidate for a specific office.
Every candidate must have a principal campaign finance committee (candidate’s committee) and file a CFA-1 form designating the committee as such. The Statement of Organization form (CFA-1) must be filed by the candidate no later than noon ten (10) days after becoming a candidate, or noon seven (7) days after the final day and hour for filing for an elected office, whichever occurs first. (IC 3-9-1-5) If a candidate does not designate a principal campaign finance committee, the Election Division or county election board is required to designate such a committee for the candidate, naming the candidate as both the chairperson and the treasurer. (IC 3-9-1-6)
A candidate’s committee cannot be the principal committee for more than one candidate. (IC 3-9-1-5 and IC 3-9-1-6)
    Organizing a Candidate’s Committee
Every committee must have a chairperson and a treasurer. No expenditures may be made or contributions accepted for or on behalf of a candidate’s committee without the authorization of its chairperson or treasurer. (IC 3-9-1-2)
The chairperson is the elected or appointed head or presiding officer of the candidate’s committee. Every candidate’s committee must have a chairperson. A person may be chairperson of more than one committee.
    A treasurer of a candidate’s committee:
    1. Must be a United States citizen;
    2. May not be the chairman of a committee except in the case of a candidate (IC 3-9-1-13);
    3. Must be appointed treasurer in writing as required by (IC 3-9-1-14); and
    4. Must file the written instrument of appointment as required by (IC 3-9-1-15).
A candidate may be chairman, treasurer, or both of the candidate’s committee. A treasurer of one committee may be the treasurer of another committee unless the treasurer is also a candidate. (IC 3-9-1-7 and IC 3-9-1-18)
    17
The chairman of a committee shall appoint or designate the treasurer of the committee in a written instrument. (This designation and the treasurer’s written acceptance is included on the CFA-1 form.) (IC 3-9-1-14)

SCHOOL BOARD OFFICE EXCEPTION: A candidate for a school board office who receives more than $500 in contributions or makes more than $500 in expenditures as a candidate for a school board office must have a principal committee. A candidate who meets this exception must file the CFA-1 form no later than noon ten (10) days after the candidate exceeds the $500 contribution or expenditure amount. (IC 3-9-1-5.5)

Maybe now Samantha White will file her Statement of Organization and her Campaign Finance Report with the Marion County Election Board as required by law. If I lived in that district, I would file a complaint.

Thanks to all of you folks here on IPS BS. You are so concerned with IPS that you take
your time to comment on this blog. It seems that most here are teachers. To have the
drive to jack with thing after hours in the classroom is more than commendable. Thanks
blogmaster for the upkeep and so on. Thanks for all the comments that I received both
positive and negative. The postings that are critical demonstrate that you are interested
enough in the future of IPS to get involved with the issues.

The administrators at 120 E. Walnut have numerous peculiar priorities. The various
forums and so on did not allow for a heck of a lot of elaboration. Now that there is a bit
of time and the election is over----

A compensation package of +$100,000 for the Head basketball coach at Broad Ripple is,
to use Dr. White’s term, “ridiculous”. Mr. Mawbey is not a teacher, he is the occasional
Dean of something when he is at Broad Ripple. But, downtown has to dump 26 special
education teachers because of budgetary difficulties.? Go figure.

The proposed Board Action Plan will rewrite the rules of the SBDM with no input from
teachers and parents. All schools will have “Community Councils” with rules and
guidelines written by the Politburo. Strike that, “Central Office”.

The Board policy requires written statements and makes parents wait until the very end of
a meeting for their opinion to be heard. A policy that is easy to change and impossible to
    justify.

According to Dr. White 60% of the teachers at this or that school are incompetent. He
terms a Commissioner’s request to see IPS budget details as being “ridiculous”. Whatever
    “Doctor”.

Doc, with the election of Samantha Adair-White 120 E. Walnut St. ain’t seen nothing yet.
    Nothing.

Congratulations Annie on your victory for the At-Large position. God help the powers
that be should you and Samantha start conspiring.

Finally, to Anonymous who posted the following on May 1st , “I have friends with
children at the school and they say that committee is full of useless people”. You are
either a liar or a fool, probably both. Your “friends” are fictional, they do not know
anyone on the committee or they are fools and liars. The other Parent Representative of
the SBDM at BRMHS is a Reverend and has been a member since 2008. The SBDM has
had and has teachers who instruct kids with special needs. We have teachers that have
received awards for their excellence in the classroom. The support staff representative
shows up for every meeting, is as nice as can be and has answers to logistical questions
that you could not begin to understand. I would go on but, Anonymous, you are not
worth the effort. Your opinion of me is fair game. I understand that. But, I’ll be damned
if you insult the fine people on the BRMHS SBDM. You do not know them. You’ll
never make an effort to meet them as they would humiliate you. They would instantly see
you what for you are , a liar and a fool.

All the best to everyone with the exception of the Anonymous buffoon referenced above.

    Rockets!!!

let's not forget the work is not over, we still need to replace 4 others on that board (at minimum 2 that are basically just Dr. White in a cheaper suit, "Dr." Brown and bouffant hairstyle, Mary Busch) ... voter turn out for the board was very low we need to work harder if the state allows us to take back over our district we need to seize that opportunity... but this was a great step, at least we didnt lose ground and remain at a 4-3 or 5-2 vote level... now its time to get it to an actual board of oversight and not a board of "whatever you save Dr. Jesus White"

What happened to the blogmaster?! Nothing about the election results? Nothing about the students suspended from Arlington? If he doesn't get on the ball, we're going to have to stop paying him. Oh wait... LOL

Samantha Adair-White (former Marshall principal Jeff White's wife) and Annie Roof won... is a good start at least voices will be heard, I dont envy them, they have a hard road ahead as they will not be welcome by the exsisting Dr. White yes people, but hopefully they will hang in there until we can get the rest of the do nothings out.

I hope Adair-White and Roof are ready to be harrassed, lied to, mislead, bullied and left out of decisions. That is the way Dr. White operates. Mary Busch has got to go as she contributes nothing and merely enable White in his rape of IPS.
