The word is starting to get out. Broad Ripple Magnet School is officially on the list for takeover by the state and there is nothing IPS can do about it.
I heard this from Linda Davis after her 15th drink at the American Legion (10 hot pockets) and this was Saturday night. Details, the State of Indiana is tired of classes with six students and piss poor teachers, drinking with Linda does not make a good teacher. The school is failing and has no reason.
yes, Dr. White's beginning of the year speech was nicer because people trashed him on the blog. And my students are talking about Broad Ripple. I think it's true if they know.
I heard from the little man - Stan that he would be out of a job. How nice for DOE, white students, new equipment, nice building, and they can dump the poor performing students onto Arsenal Tech, just like Linda Davis has done for two years. Over 51 percent (or higher) of the teachers will be fired and all new teachers will be hired for the classroom of six students.
Don't forget-Broad Ripple has 6 through 12. They are cleaning house to the elementary and middle schools, too. I wonder what positive effect being tossed out of a school at semester has on these students. They must not be the ones who come first.
Has the time and effort on this blog made ANY constructive change that can be verified?!?

Obviously not, since despite having her problem discussed in public a certain principal still appears at school functions three sheets to the wind. Another is still making off color remarks to students. No amount of public humiliation will dissuade these fools from believing they are above the rules.
If nothing better can be stated about Eugene White, I will say that the man does not suffer heavy drinkers lightly.
During my professional association with Jeff White at Marshall a few years ago, Jeff told me in a private meeting in his office that Dr. White had told him and other principals that he'd better never hear, read, or know about their being drunk/intoxicated in public. The only thing that Jeff became intoxicated on was Red Bull.
Seriously, I do not think Eugene White will put up with Linda Davis's public appearances while apparently under the influence of any substance, legal or not.
Linda is an extremely bright woman, an educated woman, and a very delightful and creative woman; however, substance abuse can creep upon a person without their ever planning to become a drunk/alcoholic/boozer, or whatever one chooses to call it. Whenever any substance begins to have a negative impact upon a person's professional life and/or personal life, then it's time to seek help before the sh*! hits the fan and is made public.
If Linda indeed recognizes a problem with alcohol, then there are people and places to assist her. Fairbanks is a good start, and one of her Social Studies teachers can provide the info and help that might get her back on track.
Hate to say this but the truth hurts-Dr. White and his cronies will ride the backs of black female and male principals and white male principals, but he lets the white women get away with MURDER!! Davis and others should have BEEN GONE!
Davis is a good principal. She has raised the goals of Ripple and has gotten rid of the students who don't belong there. Hats off to her and her staff. It's about time someone takes a stand against students who are in school to play and not work on education. Now the students who really want an education can get one without all the other mess.
I agree with the Blogger three comments up from mine...........White does let the white female principals who are lousy principals keep their jobs! Maybe it's because he said that the "white female is the backbone of IPS". That is such "BULLSHIT"! He is destroying black students education by keeping these lousy white female principals who don't enforce discipline in their school buildings, who are unprofessional and who totally have no clue as to how to be an effective administrators!
How good or bad a principal is has little to do with their skin color, my best principals have been a white woman, a black woman and a white man. The problem here is what mafia these people belong to, the black mafia, the lesbian mafia, or the good ol'boy white mafai, because when you are promoted because of your political affiliations rather than your abilities it is a problem. None of my excellent administrators seem to be members of these groups, they are just too busy doing a great job.
Linda is a drunk! We had to pick her up in the American Legion parking lot a year ago, she was passed out drunk and then we had to drive the cow home, tore out two of my springs in the back. Linda is nasty, back stabbing, two-faced, with a few friends that she hired. I just loved the comment about students, yep, she kept the money and threw out the mild cognitive students, who really tried to make the grade. Not one mention of a after school tutor? Linda is a truly nasty person, so she can speak French, I have five other languages under my belt.

I don't always agree with Mrs. Davis on everything, but I would rather have her as my principal than an idiot like you. Shut your nasty, mean-spirited, filthy little mouth.

I am sorry, I am trying to work on my trust issues and social skills. To the one person that told me to close my nasty mouth, well,I am working at BRHS and we both know she is a drunk. Face the truth and we all hope she gets help.
Please act like adults on this Blog. It amazes me how brave people can be when they post anonymously. Sure, there are things on here and previous posts that may be good points, but most of it is hurtful trash. As for the principals, I know a lot of them - of all races and both genders - that should have been gone long ago.
Does anyone have the list of schools that are being taken over?? What does this actually mean for those schools and for the teachers and administration of those schools?
