Four Questions

1. What do you think about moving to a year-round calender?
2. Have you heard about Pike Township suing ISTA for fraud?
3. How is your school year going so far?
4. Has anyone else heard about a "shake-up" coming to IPS?

  1. I can't believe IPS is seriously considering going to total year-round scheduling. The fact that Warren Township did it means nothing. First of all, they tried it with some schools and when it became successful, they expanded it district wide. Second, Warren parents are, in general, happy with the school system and generally have a fair amount of trust in the district. IPS is a sinking shipwreck. Switching to year-round schooling in this community in this environment is just shooting a cannon directly in the bottom of the already sinking ship. I predict record dives in enrollment the year this is implemented.

  2. Two high school principals will be moved by the end of this month.

  3. Why do people post the same thing on every thread?

I think year round school will take some getting used to but in the end parents and students will like it.

    Which two principals?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Because he/she started the new thread about 90 seconds after I posted my other comment. It seemed appropriate here.

Remember our predictions here. It will be fun to look back and see who was right. :)

  5. If the year around schools help the students Im all for it.

    ReplyDelete
  6. If IPS maintains the same number of days in the school year we currently have, then what we're talking about doesn't sound like a true year-round school. I worked in an out-of-state district that used a 45/15 Plan in a few elementary schools for a couple of years. I watched from a distance because I was a secondary teacher and not directly involved.

I truly do not know if students performed better academically or not because the 45/15 Plan was scrapped because of parent frustration with having children enrolled in both the 45/15 Plan schools and the Traditional Plan schools. This community frustration finally came to a head when the high schools could not/would not rearrange their athletic schedules and events to coincide with the state HSAA rules and guidelines. I don't envision that IPS could do any better with the athletic issues that invaribly will arise. Unless, of course, Tech High School becomes the "only" high school within IPS that has varsity sports for state sanctioned competition. The way things involving varsity sports teams have been playing out recently in IPS leads me to believe this might be the ultimate plan all along - to make Tech the high school athletic powerhouse of the district.

  7. because of course it is all about Eugene White, and not about kids, no one has read any of that research that tells us that participating in even one extra-curricular activity "inoculates" kids against dropping out. We've cut electives so that the only thing we offer is art, music, pe, and Spanish, we have so little to offer these kids, lets get rid of the rest...they're poor kids it doesn't matter anyway....take a look at the rich, robust selection of courses in Carmel or Zionsville....talk about equity.

  8. Larry Yarrell is moving to Howe and Mrs Nixon is moving to Northwest. Roof will kick Larry's ass and Michael Brown will take up a collection at church to pay to kiss Nixon's ass.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Most of the problems Northwest has had are a result of Michael Brown interfereing and demanding special treatment for his relatives when they disrupt school.

Michael Brown can't take up a collection at his church because he doesn't have one. He is a self proclaimed minister with no credentials and no training and NO church.

  10. Larry Yarrell is a major loser!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Larry takes a 2 hour lunch everyday. Roof, please stop by around lunch time.

  12. from above "...We've cut electives so that the only thing we offer is art, music, pe, and Spanish, we have so little to offer these kids..."

You are so right! Both male and female high school students really miss having the FACS classes. Why does the School Board and the Ed Center think that real-life/hands-on math and reading cannot be learned in a cooking lab? Of all places that fully engage our students, the kitchen is el primo. That's not an insult, that's just practical. Students in FACS classes must read recipes, follow directions exactly, measure in metrics, double/triple the recipe ingredients or halve the recipe ingredients, PLUS they get the pay-off of enjoying the results -- food they prepared. They learn to work in cooperataive groups, delegate tasks, problem solve, be creative and imaginative. So, what's up with eliminating classes that can accomplish these attributes? Every IPS high school has a suite of classrooms built and designed for FACS classes.

The same thoughts extend to Industrial Technology classes. Lots of math, physics, reading, cooperative learning, organization, planning, etc. for the students in a real-life environment.

BTW, I am not a FACS teacher trying to get a job or hold onto a job.

  13. The faculty at Howe will not tolerate the antics of Larry Yarrell. His verbal abuse and screaming in the hallways and constant bitter pronuncements on the PA system will not work here. We are not a passive staff. We are a good staff and work well together most of the time but his leading by intimidation and abusive language will be dealt with very quickly.

  14. Your IC, Patt, will take of ol' Larry. She's good; he's not.

  15. I heard the adminstrators at Arlington and Northwest are headed out the door.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Read post above. Larry Yarrell, at Northwest, is being sent to Howe. If Cassandra Shipp is heading at the door at Arlington, then it's because Eugene and Jackie have made a nice sympathy position for her at the Ed Center.

  17. The article in "The Star" concerning ISTA and Pike Township is interesting. Seems to me that my ISTA leadership is running and not returning the calls. If this case is won by Pike Township, I'm leaving the Association.

I can't be a paid member of an organization that lies and steals. Now after all of the conversations I've had about our Administration, we now have very little room to talk until this is resolved. This is what happens when we're always looking to point at others while our very own house may not be in order! I'll be totally offended if this is true.

    ReplyDelete
  18. ISTA held a press conference to address these issues. In addition, any member that they had an email address then received the ISTA side of the story. I have no inside info and don't really understand the dispute but ISTA is NOT running and hiding. I agree that if they did, it might be time to stop paying dues. ISTA needs to get Ann Wilkins out of the office before she totally gives away the store.

  19. I really hope that the two asst. Principals at Manual who are demeaning and confrontational with students and especially staff (in front of students in the hallway and their classroms) are sent packing. Yelling at students in the hallway like they are dogs and school wide mass e-mails yelling unprofessionalism at staff (that one teacher showed me) needs to stop. The atmosphere is so hostile at Manual because of these two it is so that many of the top teachers I have met have told me they are leaving (one said hopefully before the end of Sept. she will be gone). They say they will not even consider reapplying I guess in November and stay around these two "idiots" at one said.

As a parent who has been there helping and checking on my kids. I can say the only unprofessionalism being made is that of the two administrators who seem to working off their own agenda and not that of Principal Owens. Rouge administrators who threaten teachers in front of students should not be tolorated.

Lucky for me my daughter and son will be out of that atmosphere before the end of the month as well. We will be moving into an appt. outside of IPS and our daugter who has scored high and been acclaimed by many teachers as the top in her class will be at Perry Meridian or Decatur Central (not sure about the district of the appartment).

I feel for those excellent teachers and good students who are left to these two pit bulls who sole purpose seems to be find a fight to pick with anyone. Students or teachers.

God bless those at Manual who have helped my children. I will pray for you daily after me and my kids are gone. You don't deserve the treatment you are receiving. I am surprised that the district and your union is allowing it without fighting. What I have seen would not be tolerated in any workplace. I can't imagine why it is being tolorated in yours.

Especially against kids and in front of them.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Professional respect is a dead issue for IPS administrators, last year after I had been punched three times by a student I tried to tell the "administrator" who arrived that I had been hit, his response was not to even listen to what I was saying and yell at me "get back in the classroom and teach".
Of course the student was never reprimanded for hitting a teacher.

    ReplyDelete
  21. If I were a better person, one of the reassignments will probably be Larry Yarrell. I think Mrs. Nixon is a pretty good principal.

    ReplyDelete
  22. and she had worked hard to make Howe a success. She is respectful of the faculty, students and parents, and had built a "team" there...if they move her it will be a shame.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It has been proven that the dictator-like leadership is not effective. Larry Yarrell is intimidating people because he thinks it works. He does not know any different, and he thinks it is a good style. The students do not like being yelled at because for the most part many of them do what their told. He has tried to congratulate the students this year over the intercom, but ends up saying the bad comments first. When he gets to the compliments the students have already stopped listening. All the PA really does is make the people in the neighborhoods around Northwest angry that he is using it on the outside of the school.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Larry Yarrell is a waste and a short Egbert looking fart. Look at the past performance of Northwest. It was went South since he stepped foot in the building. Numbers don't lie!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I attended monthly meetings at Northwest during the school day over the past couple of years, and Larry Yarrell absolutely disrupted the flow of instruction with his steady stream of non-essential PA announcements during class time. It was annoying to the adults in the meetings, but more so, it had to be doubly annoying to the students trying to work in their classrooms. Honestly, I believe Eugene White would have to hit Larry up side the head with a two by four to get the man's attention and to get the man to turn off the PA system during class time.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Why does Yarrell always scream in the PA system. A normal voice can easily be heard in every room. When he screams, it distorts his voice and he frequently cannot be understood. It only takes the students a few days to learn that they need to ignore anything that he screams into the PA system. Larry Yarrell is a true screamer!!

  27. To the parent commenting on Manual. I agree the two Asst. Principals are horrible and definetly not cordual or someone who should have any authority in a school. I was recently there picking up my sons classwork becuase he was told not to come back for two days (that the attendance shows unexcused, they have not changed to suspended) becuase of his cloths (the same ones he had on last year).

Out in the hallway I witnessed the short african american lady come up on students degrade them and send them into another classroom.

I witnessed her come up on kid who I know from our neighborhood about her pants. This girls parents can barely afford what she has on. She tried to explain. (How horrifying and degrading it must to be a kid explaining this is all I have. My parents cannot afford more.) The lady (if she is one) would NOT listen. The girl walked off and went to class anyway. I watched as teachers went calmed the girl down and told her to just go up apoligize for walking off and say nothing because it would only get worse. She agreed walking with one of the teachers.

When the lady approached the kid she had her pen out pointing and talking with her like the girl was a deranged animal with no values. The girls finally walked off after using some choice words (that I wanted to say Good job for defending yorself). The Lady went walking off saying well she just got five days for talking at me like that.

Where are the five days for you lady? Your attitude and approach is what caused it.

The gentleman (if he is that with the Hitler attitude and almost mustache) had the nerve to yell at the teacher I was speaking with and getting work from. For not being at his door. I guess, students and parents come after hall duty.

My wife has called downtown about getting my kids magnet changed or to even return to our home school (tech). We just have not had time to go and do the paperwork since there is no parent center at the HS anymore and we have to go downtown.

It is a shame Mrs. Owens and Mr. Smith have a great vision for Manual and these two don't understand that the school has been going in the right direction (just not at the pace the state wants). it is a shame that these two semi-people were put into the school with their attitude of this place is white trash and and staffed by trash.

I believe if Mrs. Owens were not a first year principal and/or Mr. Grismore was still there. This type of conduct by administrators would not be tolerated.

BTW: Glad this is anonymous because I believe our children would become targets by these two if they knew who we were.

Good for you on taking your kids to better grounds away from hostility. I am hoping to do the same very soon.

  28. You're post made me cry, this is what has become of my beloved IPS, schools that do not embrace and support students, and foster a love of learning. Schools that do not offer education as a way up and out of bad situations. Instead we have what can only be described as crazy people in charge, and on power trips.

I think back to school 45, in the middle of Dodge City, and the lovely Effie Ezell, and how the school was an island of loving calm for the children of that neighborhood, a place to be cared for and educated.

Oh Eugene White, your intentions were good, improve educational outcomes, but remember the walls of hell are lined with those with good intentions. Your methods and strategies are ill-conceived and poorly executed. And your ability to select quality people to manage schools is nil. Recall the old adage when all you have is a hammer everything starts to look like a nail, the only style of administrator that you accept seems to be the bully and tyrant.

    Such a sad, sad story!
I am a senior citizen. When I went to school was before the recognition of problems like learning disabilities, etc. I had a learning disability in mathematics. No matter how hard I tried and worked on it at home, I just couldn't succeed. So, I had teachers and administrators yell at me and tell me I was "dumb, stupid, lazy" and on and on and on. To this day, when I think back on what those people did to me, I get both angry and feel that pain again even though nearly 40 years have passed.

It breaks my heart to think that children are still going through this type of abusive and insensitive treatment from so-called professional educators. People, you should be ashamed of yourselves!

  36. Yes, at Manual there were three put in there this summer with Smith as VP. Barlow, Larson, and Dumas.

    ReplyDelete
  37. A girl student was punched in the back today by a boy student, was he on the suspension list? No. Were the students who violated dress codes? Yes. Students are being sent back to class after being rude and disrespectful, and teachers get yelled at for not enforcing dress code.
One student even said, "I can't afford to buy polos" I bought her a shirt yesterday and plan to buy her 4 more this weekend. These children don't deserve this.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Misplaced priorities, violence OK, lack of money to buy uniforms suspension.

    ReplyDelete
  39. One of those new VPs at Manual has been too busy in previous assignments having affairs with married faculty members. This VP is also married.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Is it shoe burning Barlowe?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Barlow is single... that leaves 2 others...

    ReplyDelete
  42. I've worked WITH Debra Barlowe but not FOR her. I think she would do a great job. But I don't really have anything to base that on, just my impression from long ago when we were "neighbors" at that horrid little school in Wayne Township.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Barlow is a mean little short woman who suffers from the female version of the 'little man syndrome' or the 'George Jefferson Syndrome'. What she lacks in educational leadership skills, she attempts to make up with brashness and intimidation. She does this both with students and teachers. This is her 3rd administrative assignment in 3 years. Should tell you something. She is one of the administrators who participates in the IPS annual 'Dance of the Lemons' where the School Board shuffles them around. Sooner or later the Board will run out of places to put these ineffective administrators.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Barlowe got a rather large pay increase with this move.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Dance of the Lemons? That's hysterical!

    ReplyDelete
  46. @Barlowe got a rather large pay increase with this move.

I was just going to mention that. She got really mad a couple of years ago while at JMCHS because at the end of the year, she was told that she would only be working 10 months which dropped her salary down to around $72,000 annually. She was at Harshman last year, and now she moves 'up' to the high school where AP's earn significantly more money! Yeah, for the Ed Center decisions.

White spends all this time talking about 'ineffective' teachers, so why doesn't he begin addressing the many 'ineffective' administrators? I mean Barlowe is so ineffective that she did not even order textbooks at JMCHS. School began, and she had not ordered the first textbook. Students did not receive textbooks until after Thanksgiving. The ELA and Math Directors both knew about Barlowe's failure to order books during the summer; however, they likely were hesitant/afraid to point out an administrator's deficiency to Dr. White.

By the way, Dumas and Barlowe were BOTH at Harshman last year serving as Asst. Principals. Larson was an Asst. Principal at Arlington. The year before last, Larson was at JMCHS.

All three are members of the Dance of the Lemons Club. What assignments are left for them next year -- maybe an Alternative School?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Dumas got moved because he is an amazing disciplinarian. He is not a lemon at all- rather a professional man who gets his job done without degrading students or teachers. He was moved UP not OUT.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Mr. Dumas is and has been very professional since arriving at Manual. The kids and other staff seem to like him. He is even and fair in discipline and evaluating I have heard from those he is covering in our bulding. I would, so far, call Mr. Dumas extremely professional. I wonder how with his demeanor and attitude he has made it. Definetly not what Dr. White normally honors and hires.

More than I can say for others who just arrived who seem out to get people (staff, students, and parents).

    ReplyDelete
  49. Dumas must have changed considerably since his days at Day Adult.....and his private habits also.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Dumas was at Howe part of last year, and did a great job.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Barlowe is the devil. She preaches the Gospel but her practices are pure hell.

    ReplyDelete
  52. What you do in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Who you do that lives in Vegas, stays in Vegas.....

    ReplyDelete
  53. Dont trust Dumas.

He is a snake is sheeps cloths. He is underhanded and behind the scenes. Puts on a good show and stabs you in the back. Not anyone I would trust.

Still trying to remove his backhanded, underhanded, all out attack while smiling and telling you everything fine.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Talk about all out attacks.

Yesterday at Manual witnessed a fellow teacher have three people from downtown, Mrs. Barlowe, in her room what appeared to be most of the period. In addition Mr. Dumas was at her door.

Wonder if the fact she is the lead union rep at Manual was the reason so many suites were in her room?

Are union people now being targeted. I have always felt the only person that should ever evaluate union reps are the principals for the buildings they are in. The VP's have to many ax's to grind because of them filing complaint on behalf of the union members (usually against them).

    JMO though.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Does anyone, like me, think that these three were sent in to show Manual. Remembered Manual received a lot of attention and help last year with Tully running around.

Many downtown did like the dirty laundry and facts about parents, policy, and administration being out in the open like it was.

Were these three sent in to show the staff of Manual for their honesty. Give them a smack down for making thing look honest and not party line downtown rhetoric.

The school is already under the gun in turn-around and over 50% of the staff must go because while they are improving have not done it at the pace the state wants. So, other than to give them a "put you in your place" smack down there is no reason for the district to send in people who cause chaos and think their jobs is to "get people".

    ReplyDelete
  56. Sorry, that should have read "Many downtown did NOT like the dirty laundry and facts about parents, policy, and administration being in the open like it was."

I remember Dr. White saying he would have never allowed it if he had been asked. So, it was Manual that let Tully in.

Maybe these three are the way the district is getting back at the school.

  57. Barlowe is short and desperate. Her own kids are failures. Therefore, she gets mad when she witnesses kids achieving.

  66. So sad to see the comments about Manual's new staff. As a long time parent of students at Manual HS, this school's problems started way before this year. As far as I am concerned lemons make the best lemonade...real ones that is. I am glad students are held accountable for once. It is nice to have someone finally addressing the IPS dress code, tardies, and discipline matters. Each time my sons tried to be lax on the dress code, I was informed. I knew things would go even further downhill once Grismore left, because now there is just unprofessionalism and a lack of leadership skills at the head. Was the same years prior too. The present leader is too busy letting students and staff get away with their low performance, and intimidated by those around who actually follow policy. I am more concerned with the poor teaching, "desk" teachers who sit at their desks all day and have never had to be held accountable for their performance. When I am there I often see teacher's huddled, gossiping and drinking coffee while students are unsupervised and cursing, etc. Do you think they move when they see a parent? I can tell you this: I've seen less of that this year with the new assistant principals. There are also parents who aren't involved and kids who need counseling, etc. so why are people talking about new staff as if we are teaching angels who are eager to succeed at all costs? Let's focus on getting people in that can achieve results, clean up the mess, and turn the building around. I think they are off to a great start. Why don't we just hand the school over to someone else if you have lazy staff (who have talked horrible to kids for several years). Every time I am in the school, I never see student's talking respectful- they show nothing but disrespect to adults- period. If they need firm language so be it. I love Manual...I grew up in the neighborhood and I will continue to support the school. We deserve to turnaround and become something new. When I asked one of my son's teachers about the Turnaround school info (which I read publicly) all the teacher could do is bash the new administration. The Manual teachers are paycheck drawers and nothing more. If they aren't ....where is the impact? Leave. I have one more child under my son who will still be there and I'll be waiting for the three lemons and a leader and new staff who finally mean business.

I just found this. In LA, students were tracked for seven years. Their progress data were tabulated, and the newspaper published the ranking of educators by name and grade level. Is this our future? In some ways, I would like to see this.

  68. Here's a good story about another insecure administrator. The first-year principal at a southside elementary told her staff members NOT to speak to one another in the halls. And I DON'T mean stopping to gab or gossip. She meant do not speak at all. What an insecure, controlling bitch. She's also the one who is evaluating all the experienced, veteran teachers.

    ReplyDelete
  69. There is a teacher at our building who is rarely on time. Frequently, it is necessaary for another staff member to cover her class until she arrives. The principal is too scared to do anything about it since her father is a high ranking IPS administrator.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Kim White? It don't get any higher than that.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I agree that the post regarding Dr. Bridgewaters' child should be removed. I cannot imagine how much pain a parent would suffer going through an experience like that. It is an ugly, mean thing to write - it deserves condemnation from people who who know that we cannot always protect our children and we have to thank God if we have been spared such heartbreak.

    ReplyDelete
  72. That post may have been made by another admnistrator. Eugene White has taught his administrators to be mean spirited, intimadating, abusive and demeaning. Teachers suffer tha behavior dailly from his administrators. For that reason, I think that comment is much in line with what he has taught his administrators to do. That comment would be very typical of his administration.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Sorry, I can't buy that (from the post above) - I don't believe anyone would deliberately plan to write that. I would rather think it was just a lapse in judgment by someone who may be frustrated with the administration but just hadn't thought through on what they were saying. I don't hold much confidence in the integrity of this administration, but don't think anyone has taught a person to be mean spirited. We all say things we regret later.

    ReplyDelete
  74. To the person above who posted the three new administrators at Manual and their attitude towards students and staff are good. I really think you should spend some time there and see how they suck the spirit of learning out of people.

The students even see it. There are ways of correcting and changing behavior (of students and staff) that is NOT one.

I was looking at new housing additions up north in the Fishers area when I ran into the Superintendent of Hamilton Southeastern while having lunch. He made this comment during our lunch that took me back. I wonder if it is really true.

"I can take the staff at Manual or almost any HS or Community School in IPS and make my students better. They have been trained in more techniques and approaches to get struggling kids up. That good kids would become excellent. They have learned to work extra hard just raise the students performance up to poor without many parents help.

Now take my staff and put them into Manual or any of those school. I guarantee that most would be gone into another profession before school year is up. They would not know how to handle the situations or problems they would face. They are use to talking and complaining about problems such as boards not cleaned at night not parents who are unresponsive, not kids on the street, not all the other stuff that IPS teachers know about first hand and combat while teaching.

And my staff is supposedly one of the top in the state. It is all about community support, situations, and parental involvement when you talk about performance. IPS has little in any of those catagories. They do have a lot of detractors though."

My husband and I were taken back. I wonder if that is true? I wonder if you switched that type of performance would happen? Are we nieve about the situation Indianapolis has?

We are still looking to move but now wondering if our children are not getting a good education after all. They are getting one with adversity around them and still achieving.

With all the problems Manual and IPS has having three that are combative and abusive should never be tolorated. Especially in educational environment towards children.

But hey! I am only a parent.

  75. I think what the above parent posted is true. We have said for many years that teachers in systems like Carmel, Zionsville, Greenwood would not last in IPS. They have not faced the daily battles of poverty, hunger, hopelessness, etc that those of us who teach in IPS do. In addition, they have not faced a verbally abusive and hostile administrative that works everyday to make the teachers miserable. The parents in one of those school systems would eat Eugene White alive!! IPS parents are finally waking up to what a jerk he is and how much he is hindering he education of the the children.

  76. The comment suggests, then the issues are with the superintendent and the principals; not with the teachers.

  77. Camel, Zionsville, and Greenwood community members would not tolerate the antics of IPS Central Office and the union. As for the tasteless comment about Prudence Bridgwaters, having sympathy for such a heartless person would be like having sympathy for Saddam Hussein when his two sons were killed. She desrves all of the pain she is receiving.

  78. Debra Smith is retired from Northwest High School. She is in an assisted living community at this time and probably does not have access to a computer. She is an excellent person and would not know how to start a blog let alone how to keep one going. Please don't put information on the BS blog unless you have proof of it happening.

  79. My mother is in an assisted living facility and they have 3 computers and many of the residents use them. Many just for emailing family members but others do other searches. The facility had to put a time limit on them because so many residents wanted to use them. I don't even know Debra Smith or who writes this blog but let's denigrate the abilities of our senior citizens.

  80. LOL! That's rich!! The blogmaster is a cunt.

    ReplyDelete
  81. The blogmaster is a pedophile.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I get the humor in calling the blogmaster names. But I'd use one that makes more sense. Like sociopath.

    ReplyDelete
  83. http://www.ips-bs.blogspot.com/

First version of this blog? The blogmaster's e-mail on that site is smithdeborah19@gmail.com

  84. To the person who compared having sympathy for Prudence Bridgewaters with having sympathy for Saddam Hussein - you are truly, completely heartless. Comparing what you believe the administration has done unjustly to Hussein who has ordered the execution of many citizens, denied even basic human rights, (the list goes on) to P.B. is completely irrational. Who are you to say that a person (no matter how much you may feel they are unjust) deserves to have her family suffer. I hope you are not working with students because your callous attitude toward people is scary! You are no better than she! (no, I am not an administrator nor even an employee of IPS)

  85. Sorry for the clumsy sentence structure above

    ReplyDelete
  86. Can we please remove the post with the c word? It makes me sick to my stomach that someone would use the most vile word to describe someone they don't know. No matter your opinion of the person, that kind of language is uncalled for.

    ReplyDelete
  87. There are about 3,900 Deborah Smiths on Facebook.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Does it really matter who the blogmaster is?

    ReplyDelete
  89. There is a rumor going round that Liz Owens is principal at Manual. Has anyone seen her? In the hallways? Nope! In the cafe? Nope! At the buses? Nope! Greeting students? Nope! In her office hiding? possibly but the door is always shut. She might not even be reporting to work. Perhaps she is a ghost employee. WHERE IN THE WORLD IS LIZ OWENS???

    ReplyDelete
  90. She's with Waldo and Matt Lauer. Finding her is the challenge. Tag! You're it!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Funny, the same thing keeps circulating at BRHS, rumor has it that there is a principal and her name is Linda Davis, but I have yet to see her. But then again I haven't seen the Easter Bunny or Santa Clause either and I got some candy and a few presents.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I am a teacher at Manual. Mrs. Owens has been in my room (w-t form to prove it). She has been in the halls more than Mr. Grismore was last year.

She is just being over-run and contradicted by the glorious three from downtown. What she says is never confirmed and infact changed by those three who do their own thing.

    ReplyDelete
  93. All Owens has to do is have a meeting with the VPs and tell them to stop the gestapo tactics and treat parents, students and staff with respect. If they don't do it, then they are gone. But does she care???

  94. Barlowe is marginal as an administrator. Every year she is sent to a different school. That tells us all we need to know. Larson is the same. He is bumped from school to school to school.

When the only leadership tool an administer possesses is a hammer, everything and everybody becomes a nail.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Then you have Dumas who claims to be a cousin to Eugene White.......so he is untouchable.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Are you kidding me? There is no way Dumas the shrimp has any shared DNA with the Tyrant-a-sauris Eugene White!!!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Barlowe and Larson are losers. I taught with Mr. Larson's at Coleman. Barlowe burned an ex-boyfriend's shoes in the middle of the street. Both are nuts.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Have Dumas tell you what happens what you are caught plagiarizing at I.S.U. It certainly slows down getting your administrative license. Who would be dumb enough to turn in the same paper as your wife? Someone was and got caught.

    ReplyDelete
  99. What's Larson's first name? Preppie type?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Jan. Now there's a manly name. LMAO!!!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Mr. Dumas did not copy any papers for his Admin License - Good Try with the false allegations!!! Stop with the hatred for this professional man just because you are stuck in a no-end job and he moved up!!!!!Seems to me that people are really bitter and just making up stories to bring a successful black male down, -ie plagiarizing a paper- backstabbing - assaulting his personal life. Mr Dumas is an amazing role model for our your men in IPS.

    ReplyDelete
  102. @Mr. Dumas did anot copy any papers.........is that so?

    ReplyDelete
  103. All I can say is, "Wow!" I never thought people would be dumb enough to post words like c*nt and pedophile when they are talking about another person. Eliminate the anonymous post with at least some screen names so there is some accountability.

    ReplyDelete
  104. AMEN. And I can't believe the blogmaster didn't remove those posts. It never ceases to amaze me how low some people will stoop to make themselves appear ignorant.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I'd rather see curse words attached to people without their names than see people insulted and accused publicly but curselessly.

    ReplyDelete
  106. "Anonymous said...

@Mr. Dumas did anot copy any papers.........is that so? "

Yes, this is so. If he has actually done this, ISU would have not allowed him the credit for whatever course he was in. Clearly, this rumor is a petty way to jab and bash someone. Anyone who has gotten a degree knows that a plagiarism of a paper is grounds for instant failure. So, once again- more lies are being created to attempt to bring down a man who grew up in IPS and is working towards making IPS a better place. Can you say the same for yourself?

  107. Dear lazy, fat, useless, overpaid blob,

When you call in sick again next Wednesday, (you know, your lunch duty day), please ask for the sub you had today. He was very helpful. AND, unlike you, he didn't sit on his ass all day. :) Hey, maybe if I bring donuts you'd appear next Wednesday. Food for thought.

  108. My ears have heard Manual is getting another downtown administrator to walk the halls. Is that so?

How many administrators does it take to run a school. Manual already has five, and AD without an administrators license doing administrative duties, Kelly, and now someone else?

Is this like how many repairmen does it take to screw in a light bulb? If the administrators cannot do their jobs in certain timelines then they don't belong in the job. Stop adding to the non-since unless it is just another "job justification position"?
