Alert!

There is a fire over the Arlington gym this morning. Hopefully, no one is hurt and the kids are all safe.

  1. Must have been a misplaced joint. From all of the pot smoke over there, it is a surprise it did not happen sooner. Good job Dexter Dumbass!

  2. This appears to be topic that is ripe for "gossip"
Well here comes the nasty, the ugly, and the rude comments again!

Is there any better topic for professional dialouge? Like what was the hightlight of our teaching experience today? Did anyone have any positive experiences today? I had a student that finally got an Algebra concept he had been struggling with all week. Now that made my day!

  3. I agree. With everything going on in IPS these days, why are we wasting time over a fire at a school? Nobody was hurt. End of story.

  4. No. Seriously. Spend a day at Arlington and tell me you do not smell pot smoke. It is widely known and discussed.

  5. I must say I was extremley impressed with staff and students for handeling situation. I was equally impressed with the leadership that was shown by Dr. Suggs. He was able to rearrange the lunch schedule to get over 1200 students feed in a short amount of time, rearrange classrooms that had been effected by the smoke and also debrief the staff and student body on what had occurred at school and what was the clear and specfic plan to get along with the school day.

  6. "It is widely known and discussed."

Really? Discussed where and by whom? Backwater blogs don't count.

  7. The spelling of obvious Arlington supporters may say more about Dexter than the fire....really!! dialouge????? handeling??? Do they teach spelling at Arlington?? Maybe they just concentrate on pot smoking...Of course the school board doesnt care.

  8. An Algebra teacher who isn't a great speller? Who cares? I would love to see how well you would do at Algebra! LOL And the bottom line is, he/she is right. You ruin this blog with your 7th-grade mentality gossip-mongering. Which is a shame. Because this blog has the potential to be something powerful, as a few threads here have demonstrated.

  9. Widely discussed among teachers and staff who work in the building. I guess some people are afraid of truth when it is ugly and unpleasant. THAT is the shame of this blog! Students come first? Not too sure about that anymore at IPS.

  10. "Not too sure about that anymore in IPS."

Then go find a job in a different school district.

  11. She does not work in IPS anymore. She was released from her job due to her inability to educate students.

Widely discussed among teachers and staff - - - Must be the weak and scurry teachers because the majority of us are taken care of business. (I’m sorry you got fired, didn’t you - - - LOL)

  12. I am not sure that is really a district mantra in reality. It is for me and those I teach with but for many, it is not. That was my point. Enjoy your pot smoke!
