Boy Toy

The Indianapolis Star has another story today about Lee Tibbets. The story says Tibbets, accused on child molestation, kept his job because of mis-communication.

There wasn't any miscommunication. The people who run our school district are idiots who have their heads in the sand.

They care more about collecting a paycheck than they do educating and protecting our kids.

The law say they are to report what is reported to them...not investigate...the investigation belongs to CPS and the police.

This dude taught at an alternative school here in IPS before he went to JM. From what I have heard, the alternative school principal told the JM principal that Tibbetts had already been "talked to" because he was too friendly with the kids. Well, if the alternative school principal knew something was funny about this dude, then he should have made a bigger fuss about it. I know all about due process and that stuff, but we all know when something is just not right about a teacher.

This sounds a little bit like one principal passed on a really ??????teacher to another school just to get rid of him. I hope that is not the case.

The teacher was accused by three students of inappropriate behavior of a sexual nature at the alternative school last year. But Sondra Towne swept it under the rug; as she does with ALL major alt ed problems. She has to fool White and the Puppet Board into thinking her programs are well-run, organized, effective and roses and lollipops. Which of course they are not!! But since she and Willie Giles are "special friends" she will continue getting away with running those programs (and the funding attached) into the ground. If anyone in central admin had any sense at all, they would check her budget (both sets of books), expenditures, hiring practices, discipline policies, equipment ordering and totally altered student data. But they don't, so they won't. She will continue to prey upon the at-risk students who need us the most. So sad;(

  5. I know this is a hot story that everyone likes to talk about but you know as the public we don't know all the facts. Innocent until proven guilty should still be a standard in this country. Any teacher could have a student make up a story on them
