Sound Off!

We've been getting some complaints about a lot of you wanting to post anonymously but couldn't. That problem has been fixed so now you can. We want as many IPS teachers here as possible to let the public know what's really going on behind closed doors.

At last, I know we are all innocent until proven guilty but....Eugene White selected a h.s. coach who was arrested on drug charges...the charges for whatever reasons were later dropped. That young man is lucky that his mother is an IPS H.S. principal who is close to Eugene White.

How about an e-mail address or link to send you documents and suggestions?

    $100,000 in Overtime pay!
Many rumors have spread that technology supervisor Luther Bowens has been collecting IPS overtime payments that average $15,000 per year.

Many of us have heard this for years but recently we had a chance to actually see this information and IT IS TRUE! Don't remember that details but one year he was paid $29,000 in overtime pay on top of his normal $60,000 per year salary. We quickly added up his overtime for the years and it totalled well over $100,000!

We heard that he tells his team that they cannot report any overtime.

    What job does he do?

Who can get some more details of his actual overtime dollars?

Interesting post, is he salaried or hourly?
It is possible he actually earned this overtime. I'd certainly like overtime, instead of the nebulous "comp" time.

Yeah, everything is possible. Hey, it is possible that he didn't earn this overtime as well.

"Nebulous", interesting choice of words. Are you sure you are not a central office administrator?

Asking questions about this employee being salaried or hourly when you already know the answer. Hummmmm

I agree with the above post. If they felt that he was actually earning the overtime then they would not have added to this post.

I say let's investigate him and his supervisor who should have been signing off on these overtime payments. Maybe they both were "hitting the jackpot" together.

LinkedIN says he is the systems and operations manager. He turned down a $70K salaried position because he could make more with overtime. How many managers at IPS make overtime?
